First developed in the 1990’s by Dr. John Veltheim, the BodyTalk system is an astonish­ingly simple and effective form of consciousness based health care that allows the body’s systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended.

Each system, cell and atom in our bodies is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through our exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, these lines of commu­nication become compromised, leading to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body’s mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus preventing disease and rapidly accelerating the healing process.

The BodyTalk System allows the practitioner to properly and professionally address the patient’s need in a totally safe, holistic way that does not involve drugs, surgery, or extraordinary costs. It enables the practitioner to know when and how to address the patient’s issues, and when to refer the patient to another medical specialist. BodyTalk can be used as a stand-alone system to treat many health problems, or it can be seamlessly integrated into any healthcare system to increase its effectiveness. By stimulating the body’s innate ability to heal itself at all levels, it reduces the patient’s dependence on current medical systems.

What Does BodyTalk Address?

In the BodyTalk System, we tend not to talk about addressing specific diseases. Instead, the BodyTalk philosophy is that every person has a unique balance that should be addressed. Once balanced, the client’s own innate healing wisdom will successfully address specific symptoms and establish lasting patterns of good health. The ideal goal is to find the best, most dynamic point of balance within our bodymind complex, such that we are easily able to respond to the issues life throws at us with ease and grace.

Your Body’s Own Healing Process

Naturally, most clients arrive for a session with a health concern, and this problem is addressed. However, the BodyTalk Practitioner does not make a diagnosis for the purpose of establishing a specific session protocol. BodyTalk recognizes that although two people may appear to show the exact same symptoms, the communication links needed to balance their conditions may be entirely different. No two sessions are ever alike!

Balancing the Brain

One of the core philosophies of the BodyTalk System is that all disease found in the body is reflected in the brain at some level. As an example, if there is a neurological connection in the brain that is mis-wired or disconnected, then there will be a corresponding reflection in the bodymind complex in the form of a physical, mental, bio-chemical or other malfunction. One of the main goals of BodyTalk is to balance communication between the two halves of the brain, as well as within all levels of brain function. Improving this communication can quickly and easily address many common issues, as well as improve brain function and memory overall. BodyTalk Principles

Innate Wisdom of the Body

BodyTalk is based on the principle that the body is capable of healing itself at all levels – as evidenced by the healing process that is automatically initiated when a person cuts a finger or twists an ankle. This automatic, self-guided healing process is part of the body’s inborn intelligence, or the “innate wisdom” of the body, as we call it in BodyTalk. The innate wisdom guides the overall functioning of the bodymind complex, synchronizes all the activities as well as maintains balance, or homeostasis, within the bodymind complex.

Stress Affects our Health

Stress has a profound effect on the body and its ability to heal and function at an optimal level. When an individual experiences ongoing stress, it can overload the energetic circuits of the body, causing them to fail or be severely compromised. This is just like plugging too many appliances into an outlet and tripping a circuit breaker in your home. You have blown a fuse and must go reset it. Often times the body cannot reset these blown circuits on its own, so the body then must continue to function in a less than ideal state. This ultimately leads to degeneration, illness and pain in the body, a sign that it is simply falling behind in the healing process. Stress-related illnesses include, but are not limited to: high blood pressure and heart rate, digestive disorders, hormone and endocrine imbalances, fatigue, infertility issues and all manner of immune system disorders.

Energetic Circuits and Communication

Every single cell, atom, and system is in constant communication with every other cell, atom and system within the bodymind complex at all times. This includes communication through the nervous system, as well as the other subtle energy circuits of the body – such as the meridians and the electromagnetic frequencies that are produced by the body through its functioning. Stress we experience in our daily life can cause these circuits to become compromised, weakening or disrupting the communication between the cells and systems.

BodyTalk Access

BodyTalk Access is based on the BodyTalk System, a state-of-the-art energy medicine system that focuses on increasing the levels of internal communication within the body, thereby stimulating the body’s own ability to regain and maintain its healthy balance.

BodyTalk Access is a combination of five basic BodyTalk techniques and is designed to be simple and easy to understand, so that anyone can learn the techniques then put them into practice, for themselves or others. In just six hours (one day course) participants will learn how to bring about significant improvement in their health without medications and supplements, needling or manipulations.

Overview

The BodyTalk Access program was unveiled at the 2005 International BodyTalk Association Member’s Conference. The energy was amazing, as professionals from around the world responded to the potential of this revolutionary new program.

BodyTalk Access provides the layperson, family and community with a simple set of energy-based techniques to make health maintenance and the management of daily health challenges accessible. A majority of your day-to-day health and stress-related concerns can very easily be addressed with the BodyTalk Access routine, when done on a regular basis.

Simplification

BodyTalk Access is based on the comprehensive foundation of the BodyTalk System. Several of the most powerful balancing techniques of the BodyTalk System have been adapted for use by the individual in the home, school, or work environment. These five techniques along with the Fast Aid routine, work together as a set to balance the body in very general ways. Even though the balancing is general, the effects are frequently immediately noticeable.

Increase your Resiliency

The wellness routine presented in BodyTalk Access helps to re-establish internal lines of communication within the bodymind. This ultimately helps the individual have more resiliencies towards stress and any other factors that can be detrimental to long term health. The Access routine is designed to be practiced as a complete set and can be done once a day or more depending on need.

The first two techniques balance the brain, so that the brain is turned on and communicating appropriately. The next two techniques balance the metabolic processes of the body and the entire immune system, helping the body be more resilient to stress and external forces, such as germs and viruses. The final technique helps to balance posture and the physical structure of the body, thus improving range-of-motion, flexibility and overall coordination of the muscles, tendons and ligaments.

The Fast Aid routine combines two of the above techniques to assist in helping the body recover from all sorts of minor to major injuries by shifting the body out of a state of shock and trauma back into the growth and healing mode. Fast Aid is highly flexible, incredibly fast and can be used anytime or place to assist in the recovery from injuries and trauma.

BodyTalk Access is designed to be used by anyone: layperson, family member, care giver or healthcare provider alike. Mindscape

Mindscape

MindScape was developed by Dr. John Veltheim in the early 90′s as a system that can be easily learned by anyone, drawing on his extensive experience of different systems of mind dynamics. The basic technique was taught as part of the Life Management weekend workshop, and this was later developed to produce what is today the MindScape workshop. Today there is also an Advanced MindScape course, as well as specialized MindScape courses.

MindScape is a method that teaches the participant to tap into faculties of the creative and intuitive mind not normally so accessible to our everyday life state of mind. In practical terms, this means that the student learns ways of engaging intuition at will and enhancing creative and intuitive abilities. This offers great benefits and opens vast possibilities for every aspect of life or work. Moreover, the techniques are also powerful tools for personal development, and open interesting possibilities for BodyTalkers and other practitioners, such as distant sessions. MindScape is taught in two full days by Certified MindScape Instructors, and includes a detailed manual.

MindScape makes for a fascinating weekend workshop, and many participants attest to it as being one of the most interesting courses they have attended. It can be learned by anyone, with no experience necessary for attending the course. The course is both instructional and experiential, with the Instructor teaching the techniques and then leading the students through hands-on practice. There are no pre-requisites for taking a MindScape class.

Enhancing Intuition

MindScape compliments BodyTalk as it expands powerful possibilities for practitioners, even with other systems and modalities. By enhancing the practitioner’s intuition, sense of mental focus and intent, and opening more ‘right brain thinking’, it paves the way for more powerful links and sessions. Furthermore, by dovetailing the skills learned in the MindScape course, the practitioner can effectively carry out distance sessions. It also becomes easier to address a specific age of the client, dimension of activity or a component such as organ or body part right down to cellular levels or less tangible systems such as aspects and concepts.

The techniques of MindScape also facilitate interaction with animals, plants and other life forms, and are hence ideal for students of Animal Talk, PlantTalk and EarthTalk or anyone working in related fields.

The Mind’s Workshop

The method employed in MindScape draws on the fact that it is possible to tap into the powerful creative and intuitive faculties of the mind by accessing a mental state based in alpha brainwave activity. The participant is led to create a mental framework called the Workshop, which effectively serves as an interface for engaging the different intuitive faculties, just as the icons on a computer screen enable the user to engage or switch on different programs. This offers great benefits and open vast possibilities for every aspect of life or work, and is also a powerful tool for personal development.

Practice produces relaxing states and stimulates a process of de-stressing of body and mind. The techniques also allow insight into one’s individual process, the workings of the subconscious, conditioning and paradigm limitations and the true nature of what we are capable of achieving. Most importantly, MindScape provides the practical tools for tapping into this potential.

  • The Mental Scanning: A practical demonstration where the participant learns to intuitively tune in to any person at different perceptual levels. This technique employed by medical intuitives is immensely useful for BodyTalk practitioners, therapists, and so on. The Scanning is surprisingly easy to learn, with all participants being given the opportunity to practice the technique.

Empower Yourself

The BreakThrough System brings to the surface the built-in defenses and deep-seated, limiting beliefs that prevent us from living life fully. In four modules, the BreakThrough System and associated FreeFall course empower participants to take off their masks and open their lives to an improved experience.

BreakThrough does not make judgments. It is not a seminar that promises to make you a “better person.” It also is not a seminar that makes you believe you are perfect just the way you are. BreakThrough merely seeks to unshackle you from long-held beliefs that have created your current self-image and put boundaries on your ability to thrive.

In BreakThrough, participants start where they are, often in a place of self-doubt, self-criticism and self-blame, exhausted from trying to hide and cope with the persons they have become and perhaps do not like. From this place, they begin the regressive process, again not trying to become better or different, but only seeking to understand.

BreakThrough’s Seven Steps are a deductive, not an analytical, process. It is rather like being a detective, seeking clues to a crime, with the “crime” being that, quite involuntarily in the first few years of life, we often “learned” that we were lacking and needed to be different or better, i.e. more intelligent, more beautiful, more this or more that.

In the Steps process, we take a single incident of conflict only, but, as we continue, we see that this one story follows a thread backward – all the way to childhood – and that life patterns and habits, time and again, repeat themselves in all kinds of conflicting situations as a result of this one deep-seated, unconscious belief.

The Steps help us to see what is really going on in any conflict – and it is both a relief and a shock to discover that ALL our conflicts are triggered by beliefs that happened back when we were just tiny children. The beliefs seem so ridiculous to us as adults, but it’s easy to understand the kind of trauma that they would have been to the child – even if that trauma was somewhat unconscious way back then.

We also come to understand that in each conflict, every time one of our childhood beliefs is triggered, the trauma we experience has very little to do with the present-day situation and everything to do with the past event. Thus, in going through a regressive process, we put our past and present selves into perspective. The results are insights that are nothing short of extraordinary.

It is really exciting work. Each time we do a Step and discover a core belief, it is like pulling a thread that begins with the story of conflict we are having as an adult and ends when we discover learned beliefs that have been dictating self-destructive behavior all the way up to the present day.
As we discover these beliefs, we see how ridiculous and damaging they are. As we put them into perspective and acknowledge their effect on our behavior, something remarkable happens as our emotions begin to change.

Suddenly we start to understand our behavior and our experience of others in a different way. Thus, when conflict occurs, our new perspective does not allow us to react in the same old way. We start to be far more conscious of what we are doing and why we are doing it, and, increasingly, the concepts of blame and victim consciousness show themselves to be totally unjustified – no matter the situation.

Again, with the regressive process of BreakThrough we don’t become better people in the sense of a new and improved self. Our focus, by working with the Steps, is to simply uncover what is quite naturally already there and was there right at the very beginning of our lives. As we more deeply understand what it is that has kept the faulty beliefs, defensive armor and personality masks so rigidly in place all our lives, a mental flexibility begins to be felt. Obviously this makes for a dramatic change in how we deal with conflict, as we confront it in an increasingly conscious, responsible way.

Thus, when we say BreakThrough is a regressive process, we mean it is a process of coming home to the self, coming back to our natural way of being, which can be very different from how we’ve come to live our lives.

Rather than encouraging us constantly to aim for a “new and improved” self, BreakThrough gives us a tool that allows us to come home to ourselves and make peace with our humanness and life in general. Working with the Steps, we have the possibility of leaving childish, needy behavior and false identities behind and rediscovering the ability to experience life in a truly childlike, honest and open way – a way that is truly natural to us.

BreakThrough shows us the way to go back and reclaim what is natural to all of us: our authentic selves.

Find your Authentic Self

The marriage of BreakThrough and FreeFall created a family of programs that tend to the characteristic needs of individuals seeking self-honesty in a safe, truthful and supportive environment. The BreakThrough-FreeFall Family is unique in its regressive investigative approach to uncovering the nature of conflict. The Family promotes the healing of wounds through the pursuit of the honest nature of their cause, helping us to understand and transform our relationships with ourselves and others.

Root of External Behaviors

BreakThrough 1 provides an understanding of what is going on inside of us to create our external behaviors, while FreeFall addresses the external behaviors as a mask serving as a self image to protect the inner turmoil or false self. BreakThrough 2 and BreakThrough Interactive then progress deeply into understanding the nature of why this false-self-versus-true-self process is so valid in relating to ourselves and others.

The BreakThrough Practical helps the student learn how to lead someone through the Steps. Breakthrough Steps Intensive immerses each of us into the BreakThrough process, teaches us to be really strong Steps leaders, and invites us to consider that there is another way to live our lives.

BreakThrough 1

The focus of BreakThrough 1 is the “inside job”, that is, learning to understand the nature of our defenses and the control they have over us. BreakThrough 1 “breaks through” the defensive, unconscious and over-reactive patterns that distort our view of life and provides a step-by-step process that reveals the nature of our conflict in a conscious way.

The Seven Steps of BreakThrough set us on the inner journey toward reclaiming what is most natural to each and every one of us – the experience of wholeness. Consciously, we begin to integrate a more holistic view of self-awareness and begin to perceive and experience life differently.

BreakThrough Practical

This is a 6-hour course designed specifically to help you start honing the art of taking someone through the 7 Steps of BreakThrough. During this course the Steps are broken down and each Step and its protocol is reviewed and explained in depth. The primary focus of this course is how to use the protocol effectively, so as to simplify the process of leading someone through the steps.

BreakThrough 2

The focus of BreakThrough 2 is the “outside job”, that is, learning how to interact honestly and defenselessly toward others. By means of story telling, list making and a Steps process that is very different from BreakThrough 1, we re-evaluate our understanding of responsibility from the ground up. This includes an in-depth look at our misunderstanding of male-female roles and the inner masculine and feminine principles.

Our primary focus in this three-day workshop is the nature of defenses and how they differ from healthy ego boundaries. A unique technique is taught that sheds light on the nature of projections and the behaviors that perpetuate them.

Step by Step, BreakThrough 2 provides us with insights that prepare the way for healthy ego boundaries to come about. Together, in this very interactive workshop, we pave the way to a healthier, more grounded relationship with self.

BreakThrough Interactive

In this three-day, interactive workshop, we take a quantum leap in our journey of self-discovery, exploring the dynamics of the psyche and its splintering and healing process. BreakThrough 1 and 2 are prerequisites to BreakThrough Interactive. Together these three aspects of BreakThrough bring a deeper understanding of the healing nature of self-honesty.

BreakThrough Steps Intensive

For anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the BreakThrough process, and be a really strong Steps leader, this class is a must. In the BreakThrough Steps Intensive, the Protocol taught in BreakThrough 1 is expanded upon. Each Step is worked individually and intensively so each aspect of the Protocol becomes second-nature.

The Steps Protocol taught in the Intensive supports you as a Steps leader by keeping the person being led firmly and sensitively on track. You will also be taught extra techniques, not taught in BreakThrough 1. These techniques make Step 4 really clear, strong and much easier to lead. In addition you will be learning a Sub-Protocol which is designed to really stimulate your intuitive processes in a way that really helps you to trust in them.

BodyTalk for Animals

BodyTalk for Animals

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Basic BodyTalk for animals, using the techniques learned in Modules 1 and 2 and 3 of the BodyTalk System. The course consists of theoretical aspects as well as hands on practical application of the Modules 1 and 2 techniques and Consciousness work with dogs and cats. Techniques and theories covered in 8a can be applied to any animal in which you are experienced handling. However, discussion and practical within the course will focus on dogs and cats exclusively.

The specific topics addressed in this course are as follows:
The principles of BodyTalk as applied to dogs and cats.

Basic classifications and characteristics of dogs and cats, including breed characteristics, basic anatomy and physiology, behavior and basic animal and group consciousness.

Creating an environment to work with animals, safe handling of animals, and unique responses of animals to BodyTalk.

Working with surrogates and applying BodyTalk to animals directly and from a short distance.

Applying the basic BodyTalk balancing techniques on animals.

Dealing with emotional trauma and environmental conditions affecting animals.

Understanding the relationships between people and animals and learning how to work with the entire family matrix.

Only available to IBA members. BodyTalk Modules 1, 2 and 3, as well as the Module 1 & 2 Advanced Procedures DVD are pre-requisites for this course. The Basic BodyTalk for Animals Course is a pre-requisite for Advanced BodyTalk for Animals. It is suitable for animal health care professionals as well as animal owners who may want to learn the BodyTalk System to work with their own animals at a non-professional level.

This course counts for 12 hours of continuing education for Certified BodyTalk Practitioners’ requirements.

BodyTalk Access for Animals

BodyTalk Access for Animals

Although the BodyTalk System is spreading at a rapid rate in many countries and Practitioners are training in AnimalTalk throughout the world, access to Certified AnimalTalk Practitioners and regular AnimalTalk sessions are, unfortunately, not always available. Fortunately, people living in these areas can still have access to some of the benefits of AnimalTalk through the AnimalTalk Access program.

AnimalTalk Access techniques can be applied within a clinical setting for licensed veterinarians, vet technicians, shelter workers and other trained professionals. AnimalTalk Access can also be learned by virtually anyone to use with their own animal companions at home. There are five basic AnimalTalk techniques that can be combined into a daily regimen which, when applied, has a significant impact on an animal’s health status.

When people first use the AnimalTalk Access program, they notice changes in the general health and stress status of their animal companions. Sometimes the changes are dramatic, i.e. a highly agitated animal calms down immediately. Sometimes the improvements are gradual and do not register for a number of weeks, i.e. an animal’s severely itchy skin becomes healthier and the animal ceases obsessive scratching habits.

Once an animal’s health has stabilized into a healthier pattern, the preventive capabilities of the techniques help maintain that balance, preventing new health issues from arising. The Access techniques can also be used to complement an animal’s veterinarian care and accelerate healing.

In addition, AnimalTalk Access can be used to enhance performance and reduce anxiety. For instance, if you are working on training your dog, Access can be used to increase its ability to pay attention and learn quickly. Because AnimalTalk Access can be used to reduce nervousness of an animal, the techniques can be a tremendous tool for animal health care professionals to calm their anxious clients, increasing the animal’s comfort and the safety of the staff.

AnimalTalk Access program includes a first-aid protocol, called Fast Aid, that can be used in an emergency situation. The AnimalTalk Fast Aid protocol can help stabilize your animal while getting it to emergency veterinarian care.

In effect, AnimalTalk Access gives access to:

  • The convenience and effectiveness of the AnimalTalk System is a compact form.
  • Some AnimalTalk techniques in areas where the AnimalTalk System has not yet penetrated and/or medical aid for animals is scarce.

FreeFall

FreeFall

FreeFall is a system designed to free us from the “Image” we have of  ourselves and expose the Na’ked Truth of our humanness. The Focus of FreeFall I is learning to understand that our nude self is not the issue, but rather the reactions and attachments to our perceived body image is the nature of our defenses, disease, and self esteem issues.

Pre-requisites for FreeFall are either BreakThrough 1 or CBP.
